Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeller with over 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise systems, data warehouses, and analytics platforms. You will collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, and development teams to ensure data structures support business requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional and analytical systems.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data models.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, ETL Developers, and BI Analysts to ensure alignment of models with data pipelines and reporting needs.
  • Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Review and improve existing data models to meet evolving business needs.
  • Ensure data modeling best practices and standards are followed.
  • Support master data management (MDM), data governance, and data quality initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling (OLTP and OLAP environments).
  • Expertise in data modeling tools like Erwin, ER / Studio, PowerDesigner, or SQL DBM.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling techniques (Star, Snowflake schemas).
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data lake architectures, NoSQL databases, and big data platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
