Job Summary :
Dayananda Sagar University invites applications for the position of Security Officer to manage and strengthen the security systems of the university’s campuses. The role demands a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in security operations, preferably within the education sector, capable of ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all campus security operations, including personnel deployment, surveillance systems, and safety infrastructure.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures suited to an educational environment.
- Supervise and monitor campus security staff, arrange training sessions, and ensure effective coordination among teams.
- Ensure round-the-clock vigilance through CCTV monitoring, access control, and patrolling activities.
- Liaise with local law enforcement agencies on emergency matters, incidents, and compliance with legal protocols.
- Investigate and report security breaches, thefts, and other incidents, maintaining accurate documentation and incident logs.
- Coordinate crowd and traffic management during university events and high-profile visits.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive measures to enhance campus safety.
- Manage the maintenance and functionality of security infrastructure and surveillance equipment.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and discipline across the university community.
