Job description

The Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist specializes in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal diseases. This role involves providing expert consultation for patients with digestive issues, conducting diagnostic procedures, and offering ongoing treatment for chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide expert consultations for patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including chronic conditions like IBS, liver disease, and reflux.
• Conduct medical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., endoscopies, colonoscopies, imaging).
• Diagnose conditions affecting the stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines.
• Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to manage patient care.
• Educate patients about disease prevention, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in gastroenterology.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and trainees in gastroenterology.
