Job Title : Platform Architect
Location : Offshore – Bangalore, India
Duration : 6 months
Job Purpose
The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and reviewing enterprise-wide solution architectures that align with business goals and technology strategies. The role focuses on governance, optimization, and standardization of enterprise platforms such as core banking, payments, CRM, ERP, cloud, data, and DevOps, ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Design
- Review and validate solution architectures (HLD / LLD) interacting with enterprise platforms.
- Ensure standardized, secure, and optimized use of platforms.
- Create architecture artifacts such as solution blueprints, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration designs.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, modular, and secure solution designs.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and architecture patterns suitable for business and IT strategies.
2. Platform Architecture Governance
Represent the platform domain in Enterprise Architecture Design Authority (EADA).Define and enforce architectural standards, frameworks, and reference models.Govern and optimize platform usage across business units to reduce duplication and shadow IT.3. Platform Design & Best Practices
Define reference architectures for integration, payments, data, CRM, ERP, DevOps, and cloud.Recommend design patterns for API management, event-driven systems, and security services (IAM, encryption, SSO).Support legacy modernization initiatives using modern platform services.4. Security & Compliance
Implement security-by-design principles including authentication, authorization, and encryption.Ensure adherence to banking regulations (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, PSD2, and central bank mandates).Identify and mitigate platform risks such as data leakage and inconsistent access controls.5. Operational Resilience & Performance
Design for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.Drive observability, monitoring, and performance optimization across platforms.Recommend improvements in platform cost, performance, and resilience.6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with cross-functional teams (business, development, infrastructure, and security).Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership on platform adoption and strategy.Ensure alignment of all applications with enterprise platform services.7. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate emerging technologies such as low-code platforms, API monetization, blockchain, and AI-enabled CRM / ERP.Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new solution approaches.Maintain and update the Enterprise Platform Repository with standards, reusable assets, and learnings.Key Result Areas
Deliver solution designs for cloud and on-premise applications.Conduct and present architecture reviews to governance boards.Develop blueprints, HLDs, and detailed solution notes.Lead POCs for new technologies and frameworks.Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's ndegree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.Preferred certifications : TOGAF, AWS, Azure , or equivalent cloud architecture credentials.Preferred Industry Experience
Banking, Financial Services, or Fintech sectors.Experience in large-scale banking transformation or modernization programs.Required Skills & Experience
10–15+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years as a Solution Architect in large enterprises.Proven expertise in Core Banking, Payments, Digital Banking, Lending , and related domains.Strong knowledge of integration tools (IBM Integration Bus, IBM API Gateway) and messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ).Experience with security protocols (OAuth2, TLS, PKI, DLP).Proficiency in Cloud Architecture (Azure / AWS / GCP) and hybrid integration.Hands-on with DevOps, CI / CD, microservices , and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes).Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or BIAN .Skills Required
