SAP FICO - Offshore

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Onshore Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, strong business process understanding, and the ability to lead or support implementations, roll outs, and support engagements. This role serves as the key liaison between business users and the offshore SAP team, ensuring successful delivery of finance-related solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Act as the primary onshore contact for SAP FICO-related activities, working closely with business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.

Configure SAP FI / CO modules including but not limited to GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Product Costing.

Support end-to-end SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and support projects.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., SD, MM, PP) to ensure seamless process integration.

Lead or participate in workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and fit-gap analysis.

Create and execute test cases, support UAT, and provide user training and documentation.

Provide timely resolution for production support issues, ensuring SLAs are met.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements, as applicable.

Act as a bridge between the client’s finance teams and offshore support / implementation teams.

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience in configuration and implementation.

At least 1 full lifecycle SAP implementation experience in an onshore / offshore model.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).

Expertise in integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, PS).

Familiarity with S / 4HANA is a plus (e.g., Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Work timings shall be aligned to the US timezone.
