Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Editor to join our team at Free Press Journal’s print edition. As an Assistant Editor, you will be responsible for selecting and editing content for accuracy, grammar, style, and consistency. You will also be responsible for managing a team of sub editors and ensuring that all content is delivered on time and meets the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities :

• Select and edit and articles, features, and other content with accuracy, grammar, style, and consistency.
• Ensure that all content meets the highest standards of quality and is delivered on time
• Manage a team of sub editors and provide guidance and feedback as needed.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members to ensure that all content is aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain style guidelines and ensure that all content adheres to them
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the company's content remains relevant and engaging.
• Familiarity with Quark Express and Page making is a must.
