Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with a strong background in SQL and data modeling to design, develop, and maintain scalable business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization.

You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to create interactive dashboards, optimize data queries, and ensure high performance of BI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to support analytics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions.

Build and maintain data models, calculated fields, and KPIs for consistent business reporting.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance in Tableau and underlying databases.

Integrate Tableau with various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Excel, etc.).

Implement row-level security and user access management for Tableau dashboards.

Automate report delivery and scheduling using Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.

Participate in performance tuning, dashboard optimization, and query troubleshooting.

Document BI solutions, including data sources, calculations, and data flow logic.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4–7 years of experience developing dashboards and reports in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server / Cloud.

Strong proficiency in SQL (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or Snowflake) — including joins, CTEs, subqueries, and performance tuning.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL workflows.

Experience working with large datasets and optimizing for query performance.

Familiarity with data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema).

Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in an Agile or fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating Tableau with Python, R, or REST APIs for advanced analytics.

Knowledge of Cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.

Exposure to Data visualization best practices and storytelling techniques.

Familiarity with version control (Git) and DevOps deployment pipelines.

Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist / Certified Associate) is a plus.
