Job Title : Culinary Team Lead

The Culinary Team Lead plays a crucial role in the Galley, overseeing the activities of specialized workstations responsible for food preparation and baking.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leadership and Supervision : Direct and coordinate workstation activities to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Team Management : Assign duties and responsibilities to employees, ensuring proper staffing and adherence to time and attendance policies.
  • Evaluation and Development : Monitor and evaluate employee performance to ensure quality standards and service levels are met. Train and develop junior co-workers in all aspects of the job.
  • Inventory Management : Conduct daily inventories, prepare requisitions, and review delivery quantities to ensure optimal food costs.
  • Quality Control : Ensure high-quality food presentation and adhere to corporate recipe standards, onboard sanitation and hygiene policies, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning : Participate in cleaning workstations during and after meal preparation, enforcing onboard cleaning procedures for equipment and utensils.
  • Professional Development : Attend meetings, training activities, and courses as required, reading culinary training manuals to stay certified and develop knowledge to share with team members.

This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
