Job description

Experience Level : Mid to Senior Level (5- 10 years).

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining custom SAP programs and enhancements.

The consultant will collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs in various SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI, HCM, etc.)
  • Work on Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV), Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAPscript).
  • Develop and maintain custom objects using ABAP Objects (OOABAP).
  • Implement User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Points.
  • Integrate with SAP and non-SAP systems via IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
  • Optimize existing code and improve performance of custom programs.
  • Support data migration activities using BDC, LSMW, or custom tools.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and end users to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in technical design and code reviews.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Document technical specifications and provide end-user training as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5- 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP Workbench tools and debugging techniques.
  • Good understanding of SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, or HCM.
  • Experience with OData, CDS Views, and SAP Fiori integration is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and code optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

    • Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

  • Experience with S / 4HANA and ABAP for HANA.
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP, RAP, and CAP models.
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodology.
  • Experience in SAP Cloud Integration or PI / PO.
