Job description5+ years in QA roles, with a focus on data engineering and reporting environments. Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating large datasets, and Python. Experience testing Looker reports and dashboards (or similar tools like Tableau / Power BI). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively. A proactive and determined approach to successfully implement QA strategies.

Lead data validation and testing for QA strategy in data engineering.
What You'll Do
- Establish and lead QA strategy for our data engineering stack—including pipelines, transformations, reporting, and data quality checks.
- Design and implement test strategies for ETL pipelines, data transformations, and BI dashboards.
- Conduct manual and automated testing for data pipelines and reports.
- Validate Looker dashboards and reports for data correctness, layout integrity, and performance.
- Automate data validations using SQL and Python.
- Own and develop the data QA roadmap, from manual testing practices to full automation and CI / CD integration.
- Maintain test documentation, including test plans, cases, and defect logs (e.g., in Jira).
