About this role :
This position is a key part of the Growth Marketing vertical, responsible for driving disproportionate growth by building and shipping automated, scalable solutions. You are a builder at heart, someone who sees operational bottlenecks in marketing not as problems, but as opportunities to write code and create systems that drive efficiency and scale. This role involves end-to-end ownership- from identifying an inefficiency to coding the solution, and from writing a PRD for larger engineering projects to defining the GTM strategy. You will be the technical engine of the marketing team, working cross-functionally to fuel business growth through intelligent automation.
Responsibilities :
- Automation & Solution Development :
- Design, code, and deploy lightweight automation tools using Python, JavaScript, and other relevant languages to solve critical operational challenges in performance marketing and owned media (e.g. automated campaign creation, budget pacing alerts, dynamic creative optimization, triggered WhatsApp / Push notifications via APIs etc).
- Leverage Generative AI (eg GPT-4 / 5, Claude APIs) to build and implement innovative solutions for content personalization, audience segmentation, and performance analysis.
- Manage the deployment by working with Devops wherever required
- Product Management & PRD Development :
- For large-scale projects requiring dedicated engineering bandwidth, develop comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications.
- Collaborate with core engineering and data science teams to define product architecture and features, acting as the product owner for MarTech initiatives.
- Cross-functional Enablement :
- Act as the primary technical bridge between marketing, analytics, and engineering stakeholders, translating needs into both self-built tools and formal PRDs.
- Own the GTM for new MarTech products and automations, ensuring seamless adoption by the marketing operations teams.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation :
- Identify opportunities for step-change improvements in marketing efficiency through technology and automation.
- Create and present quarterly and annual growth roadmaps focused on technological enablement to leadership.
Required Skill-set :
Proven experience in coding and scripting for automation, with proficiency in languages like Python or JavaScript.Hands-on experience working with APIs to connect marketing platforms and automate data flows (eg Meta Marketing API, Google Ads API, CRM APIs).Demonstrable experience using Generative AI models and their APIs to build practical applications for marketing or operational automation.Strong foundation in Product Management fundamentals, including crafting and driving PRDs, building experimentation frameworks, and creating GTM strategies.Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong bias for building a solution yourself before requesting engineering resources.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Experience & Knowledge :
Experience in a "Growth Engineering," "MarTech Engineering," or similar technical marketing role is a massive plus.Familiarity with performance marketing channels (Google, Meta) and owned media platforms (eg CleverTap, MoEngage) is beneficial but secondary to strong technical and automation skills.Experience with data tools and languages like SQL and data warehouses (eg Snowflake, BigQuery).Prior work in a high-growth B2C tech or e-commerce environment.This role is ideal for a technologist with a passion for marketing.
