We are looking for a Training Manager to oversee and continuously improve training and competency programs for marine crew across disciplines. If you are detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and passionate about workforce capability development in the marine and offshore sector, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs for deck officers, engineers, and ratings in line with client matrices and charterer requirements.
  • Ensure all training programs comply with IMO, SOLAS, STCW, ISM Code, TMSA, SIRE, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with training institutes and subject matter experts to design and deliver simulation exercises and technical workshops.
  • Plan and coordinate on-leave crew training schedules efficiently, including travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and revise training frameworks to maintain full compliance with international and flag-state standards.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance tracking.
  • Utilize e-learning platforms, simulators, and modern technologies to enhance training delivery.
  • Maintain complete training and certification records in crewing software and generate monthly and quarterly reports for management.
  • Manage the training budget effectively and liaise with vendors for cost-efficient delivery of courses and services.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Relevant maritime training certifications (e.g., STCW, IMO courses) are preferred.
  • 5+ years in maritime training or competency management with shipowners, ship managers, or maritime institutes.
  • 2–3 years in a managerial capacity overseeing training operations.
  • Hands-on experience in marine operations, safety management, and compliance.
  • Sailing experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime laws and international regulations (IMO, SOLAS, ISM, STCW).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple training programs, budgets, and external training providers efficiently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
