Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / Risk Modeling Analyst who will be responsible for credit risk model development across sectors. This role involves building, validating, and enhancing quantitative and qualitative models that support credit rating decisions, risk assessments, and financial forecasts. We seek candidates with a strong foundation in finance, statistics, and data analytics who can contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Model Development & Enhancement
Design, implement, and refine statistical and econometric models to support credit rating methodologiesBuild models for key risk parameters, including Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Expected Loss (EL)Contribute to macroeconomic scenario analysis and stress testing frameworksModel Validation & Monitoring
Conduct performance testing, benchmarking, and sensitivity analysis of existing modelsImplement validation protocols to ensure models meet internal standards and regulatory requirementsRecommend enhancements based on validation outcomes and business feedbackData Analysis & Management
Work with large, structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources to support model calibration and back-testingPerform exploratory data analysis and statistical testing to inform model assumptionsDocumentation & Communication
Prepare comprehensive model documentation for internal committees, governance teams, and regulatorsCommunicate complex quantitative findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including rating analysts and senior managementCollaboration & Support
Liaise with cross-functional teams including Ratings, IT, Compliance, and Data EngineeringProvide analytical support during credit rating committee discussions and reviewsStatistical & Technical Skills Required
Strong command of statistical methods such as multivariate analysis, multiple linear regression, and other advanced statistical methodologiesProficiency in Python for data manipulation and statistical modellingExcellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skillsCandidate Profile
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related fieldProficiency in Python, R, and statistical modelingStrong financial and analytical skills with deep understanding of credit risk including strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts.Willingness to be fungible across sectors and regionsExcellent analytical & communication skills.Ability to work on multiple assignments under strict timelines.Why Join Us
