About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer with 3-5 years of experience, specializing in IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) implementations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow applications, with a focus on ITOM modules and CMDB integrations in large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

Develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, and Orchestration.
Design, maintain, and manage the CMDB structure to ensure accurate configuration item (CI) relationships and data integrity.
Build and customize ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, and UI policies based on business requirements.
Implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST / SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and integration connectors.
Perform regular CMDB audits and data reconciliation to maintain data accuracy and compliance.
Work closely with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze gaps, and deliver technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems related to ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB applications.
Provide ongoing support, upgrades, and performance improvements for existing ServiceNow ITOM solutions.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for ITOM and CMDB configurations, integrations, and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile development environments.

Key Skillsets :

Hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM Suite : Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, Orchestration, and Cloud Management.

Strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB architecture, CI relationship modeling, and data normalization practices.

Proficient in ServiceNow scripting : Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Workflows.

Experience in creating MID Server configurations for Discovery and integrations.

Knowledge of web services (REST / SOAP) integrations and JSON / XML data formats.

Strong understanding of ITIL processes, especially Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.

Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and CMDB Query Builder.

Familiarity with ITOM health dashboards, Discovery schedules, and pattern design.

Experience with source control tools (Git, SVN) and CI / CD pipelines.

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is a plus.

Preferred certifications : ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery or CMDB.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience :

3-5 years of ServiceNow development experience in ITOM and CMDB implementations in large enterprise or telecom environments.

Exposure to multi-vendor environments and IT infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, HPE, Dell).

Experience in working within ITIL-aligned processes and environments.
