Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Developer :
1. Design & Development
- Develop and configure ServiceNow modules, especially ITSM , CMDB , and Discovery .
- Build custom applications, UI Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Workflows.
- Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, Request workflows, and SLAs.
2. Integrations
Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, MID Server , and integration tools.Work with external systems to ensure smooth data exchange and process automation.Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure secure, stable connections.3. CMDB & Discovery
Configure and enhance CMDB to support business and operational requirements.Implement and fine-tune Discovery probes, sensors, patterns, and identification rules.Ensure CMDB data integrity, normalization, reconciliation, and relationship mapping.4. Platform Administration
Manage ServiceNow instance configurations, upgrades, patches, and performance.Ensure adherence to ServiceNow architectural standards and best practices.Work with the platform owner / architect to improve platform governance.5. Requirements & Collaboration
Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions.Collaborate with process owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and platform planning discussions.6. Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Provide L3 support for ServiceNow modules and integrations.Optimize scripts, workflows, and platform performance.Required Skills & Experience
6–10 years of hands-on development experience in ServiceNow .Strong proficiency in :ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Request)CMDB & Discovery (Probes, Sensors, Patterns, CI Classes, Reconciliation)Integrations (REST / SOAP, MID Server, scripted APIs)Strong scripting skills :JavaScript (client & server)Glide APIScript Includes, ACLs, Business Rules, etc.Experience with Flow Designer , Integration Hub , or ATF is a plus.Strong understanding of ITIL practices.
