Test Automation Engineer

Experience : 6+ Years

Overview

We are seeking a

skilled and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer

with

6+ years of software testing experience , including at least

4 years of hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the high quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, and product owners to enhance test coverage and accelerate the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

automated test scripts

for web applications using

Selenium WebDriver .

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to

analyze requirements , define test cases, and ensure comprehensive coverage.

Build and enhance

reusable automation frameworks

and implement effective test data management strategies.

Conduct various types of testing :

functional ,

regression ,

integration , and

performance

testing.

Identify, log, and track software defects; work closely with development teams for timely resolution.

Participate in

code reviews , test plan reviews, and enforce QA

best practices .

Integrate automated test suites into

CI / CD pipelines

(e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Prepare detailed

test reports , analyze test results, and provide actionable insights to improve software quality.

Stay current with

emerging tools , trends, and technologies in test automation.

Primary Skills

Minimum

6 years

of experience in

software testing .

At least

4 years

of strong, hands-on experience with

Selenium WebDriver .

Solid programming skills in

Java

for test script development.

Thorough understanding of

software testing methodologies

(Agile, Scrum).

Experience with

test management tools

like

JIRA ,

TestRail , or similar.

Familiarity with

CI / CD tools

and

automated test integration

(e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Strong

analytical ,

debugging , and

problem-solving

skills.

Excellent

communication

and

collaboration

skills.

Secondary Skills

Basic understanding of

web technologies

(HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Experience in testing

REST APIs

using tools like

Postman

or REST-assured.

Familiarity with

test reporting tools

such as

Allure ,

ExtentReports , etc.

Exposure to

BDD frameworks

(e.g., Cucumber) is a plus.

Good to Have Skills

Knowledge of

performance testing tools

(e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Experience with

mobile automation testing

using tools like

Appium .

Understanding of

containerization

tools (e.g., Docker) and their role in testing environments.

Awareness of

security testing practices .

ISTQB or equivalent

testing certifications .
