Job descriptionYou're not all-in on high-ownership work. You don't obsess over the Must-Haves below. You can't troubleshoot systematically from OSI Layer 1 to 7. You don't get a kick out of being into networking. You are not talkative and love exchanging technical ideas. Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Expert-level, hands-on experience with the ONVIF protocol stack (SOAP, WS-Discovery). Production experience analyzing network protocols using Wireshark / tcpdump. Deep knowledge of IP networking (TCP / IP, UDP, Subnetting, VLANs, Routing). Practical experience debugging video streaming protocols (RTSP / RTP / RTCP). Strong proficiency in a Linux command-line environment. Scripting for automation (Python / Bash). Cloud networking experience (AWS VPC, Security Groups). Experience with proprietary camera APIs / SDKs. Familiarity with container networking (Docker). C++ and multi-threaded programming. What You'll Do
- Master ONVIF device discovery (WS-Discovery) and integration.
- Diagnose & resolve complex L2 / L3 customer network issues (VLANs, NAT, Firewalls).
- Analyze & debug RTSP / RTP video streams using deep packet inspection.
- Validate device compatibility across ONVIF Profiles S, G, & T.
- Own the camera connectivity pipeline end-to-end, from discovery to stable streaming.
