Purpose of the Role
To lead, manage and grow the project-sales business (architectural lighting, specification deals, large commercial / hospitality projects) for Focus Lighting and Fixtures in the assigned region. The role involves driving target achievement, acquiring new clients in the specification channel (architects, consultants, project integrators), managing distributor / partner relationships, and executing winning strategies in lighting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan for project-sales of lighting solutions (fixtures, systems) aligned with company targets.
- Identify, pursue and win specification contracts in sectors such as hospitality, retail, commercial offices, institutional, façade & architectural lighting.
- Engage and build relationships with key decision-makers : architects, lighting consultants, interior designers, MEP contractors and project houses.
- Work with internal teams (product, marketing, technical, supply chain) to prepare winning proposals, quotations, lighting specifications and tenders.
- Manage and grow partner / distributor network (if applicable) in the region; set partner targets, monitor performance, provide training / support.
- Conduct market intelligence : monitor competitor activity, project pipeline, emerging lighting technologies (LED, smart controls), and derive actionable insights.
- Forecast, monitor and report on regional sales performance (monthly, quarterly, annual) including pipeline, order intake, revenue and margin.
- Represent the company at trade-shows, lighting exhibitions, industry events and forums; deliver product presentations and trainings.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and post-sales support coordination (warranty, project follow-up, service).
- Collaborate with head office functions (product management, marketing) to provide feedback on product requirements, develop region-specific marketing programs and promote new launches.
- Travel across the region (often >
50%) to meet clients, attend site visits, project meetings and partner trainings.
