Job Description : O&M Manager (Headquarters)
Position Summary
We are seeking a senior professional to lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) function across multiple sites. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for setting up, managing, and optimizing operations across facilities such as ICDs, ports, large manufacturing plants, power plants, dispatch yards, and other industrial / logistics facilities. The candidate will be based at the Head Office, with oversight of site-level teams, and will ensure uniformity in systems, processes, cost control, and contract compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-Site Operations Leadership
- Lead O&M across 4–5 sites (initially ICDs, expanding to other facilities).
- Set up new sites from scratch : manpower planning, equipment deployment, process implementation.
- Build and monitor site KPIs (throughput, cost / TEU or cost / unit, downtime, safety, manpower efficiency).
2. Systems & Processes
Design and roll out SOPs across all facilities.Implement leadership and reporting systems at site level.Ensure compliance with operational standards, safety norms, and client SLAs.3. Manpower & Resource Management
Define organizational structures for each site.Recruit, train, and stabilize site-level leadership and manpower.Establish succession planning and skill development programs.4. Techno-Commercial Governance
Negotiate and align manpower / equipment contracts with clients and vendors.Work with Finance Controller to validate cost sheets, billing, recoveries, and margins.Drive cost optimization projects and efficiency improvements.5. Client & Vendor Interface
Act as the single point of contact for O&M discussions with clients.Build vendor ecosystems for manpower, transport, equipment, and support services.Support senior management in commercial reviews and, occasionally, sales discussions (secondary).Desired Profile
12–20 years' experience in O&M across large-scale facilities such as ICDs, ports, plants, dispatch yards, logistics hubs, or industrial complexes.Proven track record of managing multiple sites from a head office role .Strong techno-commercial skills : contracts, costing, and SLA management.Hands-on with operations setup (greenfield / brownfield), leadership system design, and manpower recruitment.Balanced profile : strong operational discipline + commercial acumen.Ability to travel extensively across sites.Key Competencies
