As a Magento Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining e-commerce websites using the Magento platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of online stores and enhance the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Create and customize Magento themes and templates to match the brands aesthetic and user experience requirements.
  • Build and integrate custom Magento extensions and modules to extend the platforms functionality.
  • Manage and optimize Magento databases to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, code inefficiencies, and other issues to improve website speed and user experience.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors on the Magento platform.
  • Integrate third-party systems, payment gateways, shipping providers, and other APIs with Magento.
  • Keep the Magento platform and extensions up to date by applying patches and performing version upgrades.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard customer data and protect against potential threats.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, configurations, and customizations.
  • Work closely with front-end developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Magento Developer, with a strong portfolio of e-commerce projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Magento platform, including its architecture, customization, and extension development.
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e. g. , Git) and development best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and caching mechanisms.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices in the context of e-commerce websites.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Magento certification(s) such as Magento Certified Developer.
  • Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms and technologies.
  • Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Understanding of UX / UI principles for e-commerce.
