About the Role

To lead, coordinate and manage all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting & related services) activities for the assigned project by ensuring timely execution, quality compliance, cost efficiency and safety standards. The role involves managing contractors, consultants, and in-house teams while supporting the strategic direction of the MEP function.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning & Execution

  • Review design drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs for MEP works.
  • Coordinate MEP services with architectural, structural, and civil teams for smooth integration.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Ensure project timelines and deliverables are achieved without compromising quality.

Technical & Design Management

  • Provide technical guidance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, BMS, and ELV systems.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Implement value engineering solutions and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and statutory approvals.

    • Cost & Quality Control

  • Monitor MEP budgets and ensure cost optimization.
  • Support procurement teams in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and material approvals.
  • Conduct quality checks, site inspections, and audits to maintain high standards.

    • Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor the MEP project team and site engineers.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and statutory authorities.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide timely solutions to site challenges.

    • Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to HSE standards during execution of MEP works.
  • Obtain required approvals, certifications, and statutory clearances for MEP services.

    • Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • 15-20 years of relevant experience in MEP within large-scale construction or real estate projects.
  • Hands-on experience in managing high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure to contract management, vendor management and statutory compliance.

    • Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting & ELV systems.
  • Expertise in project management and execution for high-rise / commercial / residential projects.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices, green building standards, and modern MEP technologies.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with advanced MEP technologies.
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards.
