Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and predictive insights across complex IoT-enabled platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end data pipelines for real-time and batch processing of high-volume IoT and operational data.
  • Collaborate with backend, database, and engineering teams to ensure clean, high-quality, and well-structured data.
  • Optimize data storage and access across SQL, NoSQL, and time-series databases.
  • Support analytics, dashboards, and predictive models for operational and business insights.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across large-scale systems.
  • Participate in data architecture discussions, helping define best practices and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data platform development.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL / ELT orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar).
  • Experience with streaming / messaging frameworks like Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, or time-series databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, TimescaleDB).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-product environment.
  • Bonus : Familiarity with IoT telemetry, large-scale sensor data, or real-time analytics platforms.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with time-series or sensor data.
  • Familiarity with machine learning pipelines or predictive analytics.
  • Exposure to multi-product or multi-tenant platforms.
  • Knowledge of data observability, lineage, and governance tools.
