About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Java Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) to join a high-impact production support team. The role involves deep application troubleshooting, microservices and API-level debugging, major incident handling, and RCA ownership for enterprise Java platforms. You will closely work with senior leads and stakeholders to ensure production stability and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications

• Troubleshoot application issues across Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices

• Perform log analysis and monitoring using tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana

• Own major incidents, service restoration, and root cause analysis (RCA)

• Handle incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow

• Collaborate with development, infra, and DB teams for issue resolution

• Support deployments, releases, DR drills, and post-release validations

• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation

• Participate in on-call and rotational production support

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE application support (L2/L3)

• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture

• Good hands-on experience with SQL / Oracle databases

• Experience with ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change Management)

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)

• Experience in RCA, DR testing, and failover activities

• Familiarity with Tomcat / WebLogic

• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
