Summary

Pismo's Platform squad is responsible for maintaining the life-cycle (bootstrap, maintenance and decommission) the following domains : Container orchestration (through Kubernetes), Cloud Architecture and Networking (Cloud and On-premise).

What you'll do

The engineer will support the Kubernetes and Service Mesh (Istio) lifecycle within the platform squad by :

Creating and / or enhancing mechanisms to bootstrap
Observe (monitoring)
Maintain (including upgrades)
Decommission these resources using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native best practices across several clusters.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

The candidate needs to be based in India

The candidate must possess basic knowledge in Kubernetes and Service Mesh (ideally, Istio), with proven experience supporting both day-to-day operations and business-driven initiatives.

This role requires a hands-on approach to managing cloud-native infrastructure, with all tasks executed through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)—preferably using Terraform—and aligned with GitOps methodologies within a fully automated CI / CD pipeline.

Advanced English Level

Preferred Qualifications :

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
