Role Overview :

Test Automation Development : The primary responsibility of a QA Automation Engineer is to develop automated test scripts using various automation tools and programming languages (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, Java, Python). These scripts simulate user interactions with the software application to validate its behavior and functionality.

Responsibilities :

• Test Planning and Strategy : They participate in the development of test plans and strategies, collaborating with QA analysts, developers, and project managers to define test objectives, scope, and timelines. They also identify test scenarios and prioritize them based on risk and business impact.
• Test Execution and Reporting : QA Automation Engineers execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. They generate test reports, document test cases, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI / CD) : They integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing and deployment. This involves configuring automation frameworks to work with build servers (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Maintenance and Enhancement : QA Automation Engineers maintain and enhance existing automated test suites to accommodate changes in software requirements, features, and functionalities. They also optimize test scripts for reusability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaboration and Communication : They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on testing objectives and requirements. They communicate effectively to report bugs, provide feedback, and contribute to product improvement efforts.
• Tool Evaluation and Adoption : QA Automation Engineers stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation. They evaluate new automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage.
• Performance and Load Testing : In addition to functional testing, they may also be involved in performance testing and load testing activities to assess the software's scalability, reliability, and responsiveness under varying conditions.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
