We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer – Cognos Developer who is passionate about building high-quality BI and reporting solutions in an agile development environment. You should be able to design reusable, scalable, testable, and high-quality Cognos models and reports adhering to clean code principles and company engineering standards. You should be able to analyse business requirements and design, develop, and deploy Cognos reporting systems to meet those needs. You are expected to have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and a strong grasp of data models and the interactions between BI components.

Your contribution as a Sr Software Engineer will directly impact the quality of the analytical solutions produced at ValueMomentum. If you are a graduate with 5-7 years of professional experience in solving data analytics and reporting challenges and are looking to excel in a rapidly growing software and services company with a dynamic work environment, this position is for you.

Must Have Skills :

• A strong academic background with a B.E. / B.Tech degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 5-7 years overall experience .
• 4–6 years of proven experience as a Cognos Developer , building enterprise BI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with :
• Cognos Framework Manager (FM) and dimensional / relational modeling.
• Cognos Report Studio , dashboards, and advanced visualizations.
• Cognos Analytics 11.X , including Data Modules and Reporting tools.
• Experience building :
• Complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and paginated reports.
• Drill-through, drill-down, and parameterized reports.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with :
• SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, or other relational databases.
• Flat files, JSON, NoSQL sources (as needed).
• Experience in :
• Designing star and snowflake schemas.
• Import and live data connections.
• BI semantic modeling.
• Experience working with security :
• Cognos roles, groups, and row-level security.
• Hands-on knowledge of best practices in :
• BI development, testing, performance tuning, and deployment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
