Core responsibilitiesFinancial reporting : Prepare and maintain financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Record-keeping : Document and organize all financial transactions, ensuring they are accurate and complete.Tax compliance : Calculate taxes and prepare and submit annual tax returns in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Auditing : Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and cooperate with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.Account reconciliation : Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and studying account information, performing monthly account reconciliation, and ensuring reports and ledgers are accurate.Financial analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to management for decision-making.Budgeting : Create, review, and present budgets and forecasts.Payroll and accounts : Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
