Epicor - Senior Data Scientist

Overview

We're on a mission to bring intelligent automation into workflows that power the global economy-manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain. As a Senior Data Scientist on the Forward Deployed team, you'll play a key role in designing and building AI agents that assist with real-world supply chain tasks such as supplier compliance, shipment quality verification, and on-demand business data retrieval.

These agents are built using Epicor Prism, our internal AI platform that serves as the backbone for delivering AI capabilities across the company. Prism enables fast, secure, and scalable deployment of LLM-based features in both customer-facing and internal applications.

You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and fellow data scientists-driven by a shared focus on efficiency, experimentation, and customer impact. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously refine AI features that directly improve user experience and business outcomes.

What You'll Do :

• Design and iterate on LLM-powered agents using Prism's internal frameworks
• Build prompts and context strategies for tasks such as data summarization, workflow automation, image-text comparison, etc.
• Run structured, reproducible experiments-tracking versions, prompt variants, latency, and failure cases
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to integrate agents into real Epicor systems
• Design telemetry to monitor agent performance, usage trends, and error patterns
• Contribute to internal best practices in prompting, evaluation, and context management
