Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive regression test plans and test cases.
  • Perform both manual and automated regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and potential system impacts.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and document issues using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, QC / ALM).
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
  • Participate in release readiness and deployment validation activities.
  • Contribute to continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI / CD) pipelines by integrating regression tests into build and release processes.
  • Track and report test execution progress, quality metrics, and regression results to stakeholders.
  • Work with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Continuously improve regression test coverage, frameworks, and testing processes.

Technical Skills & Requirements :

  • Experience : 3 to 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on regression testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT).
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with programming / scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#) for automation.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).
  • Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.
  • Experience in testing web, mobile, and API applications (Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM).
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify root causes of defects
