About the Role :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Data Privacy Consultant

with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting privacy initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR, PDPB, etc.), and helping clients implement robust privacy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

Advise internal teams and / or clients on data privacy regulations including GDPR, India's PDPB / DPDP Act, CCPA, etc.

Assist in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and risk assessments.

Support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy policies, procedures, and controls.

Monitor compliance with data protection laws and internal privacy policies.

Assist in incident response planning and breach management support.

Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to support privacy-by-design and data governance initiatives.

Conduct training and awareness programs for staff or clients on data privacy best practices.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data privacy, information security, or compliance.

Understanding of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPB, CCPA).

Experience in working with privacy tools and frameworks is a plus.

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Certifications (Optional) :

CIPP / E, CIPP / US, CIPM, CIPT (by IAPP)

ISO / IEC 27701, ISO / IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor

DCPP (by DSCI)
