English Academic Tutor

We are looking for a skilled and passionate English Online Tutor to teach students (children, teenagers, or adults) through virtual classes. The tutor will deliver engaging, effective lessons to improve learners’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary skills. The ideal candidate is patient, communicative, flexible, and comfortable working in an online environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the curriculum or learning objectives

Prepare lesson materials, exercises, and assessments (worksheets, quizzes, games, etc.)

Conduct live online classes via Zoom / Google Meet / platform tool

Provide corrective feedback on students’ speaking, writing, and grammar errors

Track student progress and maintain records of attendance, performance, assignments

Communicate with students (and parents, if applicable) about progress, strengths, and areas for improvement

Adapt teaching methods to individual student learning styles and levels

Encourage student participation, confidence, and interest in English

Handle administrative tasks like scheduling, sharing learning resources, issuing certificates (if applicable)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience teaching English (online or offline)

Excellent command of English (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms (Zoom, LMS, digital whiteboards, etc.)

Ability to create engaging, interactive lessons

Patience, creativity, punctuality, and reliability

Comfortable giving feedback in a constructive way

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

TEFL / TESOL / CELTA / DELTA certification

Experience in teaching exam preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, etc.)

Experience teaching younger learners (children) or special needs learners

Ability to teach in multiple levels / age groups

Experience using educational technology and multimedia
