About the job :

We are seeking a skilled

SmartCOMM Developer

to design, develop, and implement customer communication and form solutions. You will work closely with product managers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality SmartCOMM templates, data models, and integrations—primarily supporting Personal Lines and Claims use cases in the insurance domain.

Responsibilities :

Participate in requirement calls to gather functional and technical requirements.

Provide effort estimates and development plans for assigned tasks.

Design and implement

SmartCOMM templates, data models, and communication artefacts .

Perform code / configuration changes and implement communication customizations.

Execute unit testing and Pre-Prod (Sandbox) validations; support QA testing cycles.

Triage and resolve defects raised by QA for Personal Lines forms and General Claims.

Integrate

SmartCOMM outputs with Guidewire Policy / Billing and other backend systems .

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder communications.

Prepare technical documentation and handover notes for deployments.

Requirements :

4–6 years of hands-on experience as a

SmartCOMM Developer .

Practical experience with Guidewire Policy (config / integration) and Guidewire Billing.

Strong understanding of the

SmartCOMM communication lifecycle : template design → data model changes → testing → deployment .

Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in teams.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Good To Have :

Candidates with these additional skills on their resumes have an added advantage when their profiles are being assessed. Some of them are as follows :

Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, and CI / CD tools (Jenkins / Azure DevOps).

Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure) and experience integrating testing with CI / CD pipelines.

Guidewire experience across Personal & Commercial lines.

SmartCOMM or Guidewire certifications.
