Job description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Service Engineer to manage the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of special purpose packaging machines. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of electromechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatic / hydraulic circuits, and HMI interfaces commonly used in high-speed automated packaging lines.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Installation and commissioning of packaging machines at customer sites.
  • Perform machine calibration, testing, and validation as per SOPs and client requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues during and post-installation.
  • Provide technical support and service visits for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Handle service documentation – installation reports, service logs, warranty claim reports, and technical feedback.
  • Train customer operators and maintenance staff on equipment usage, safety, and routine maintenance.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and R&D teams for continual improvement and customer feedback incorporation.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of service-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in servicing special purpose packaging machines or high-speed automated machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.), HMIs, servo systems, and sensors.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems used in packaging applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for on-site service and support.
