SAP PaPM Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) Consultant with strong technical expertise in designing, configuring, and implementing complex allocation and profitability models. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PaPM modelling, Allocations, Universal Model configuration, and working closely with finance stakeholders to deliver high-performing financial and business models.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and develop SAP PaPM Calculation Models, Model Tables, and Functions based on business requirements.

Implement driver-based allocation logic , profitability models, multi-level cost allocations, and scenario simulations.

Lead end-to-end delivery including requirement gathering , blueprinting, design, build, testing, and deployment of PaPM solutions.

Configure and implement key PaPM functions : Allocation, Join, Query, Calculation, Writer, and Reporting functions.

Work directly with business stakeholders (Finance / Controlling teams) to translate business rules into PaPM logic.

Build and optimize PaPM models using the PaPM Universal Model (Model–View–Writer framework, Process Templates, Allocation Engine).

Ensure seamless integration of PaPM with SAP BW / 4HANA, S / 4HANA, HANA Views , and other SAP systems.

Perform performance tuning : HANA pushdown, model optimization, trace analysis, and execution troubleshooting.

Support financial data flows for Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), FTP, Transfer Pricing , and profitability reporting.

Build outputs and dashboards using SAC, Analysis for Office, and embedded analytics where needed.

Required Skills

6–8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PaPM with strong technical configuration background.

Expertise in PaPM Modelling : Calculation Models, Universal Model, functions, MVW framework, and end-to-end allocations configuration.

Strong understanding of allocation processes , cost driver modelling, transfer pricing, and profitability frameworks.

Experience integrating PaPM with SAP BW / 4HANA, S / 4HANA FI / CO, HANA Views, and external systems .

Proficiency in SAP HANA SQL, AMDP, and performance engineering for high-volume calculations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work directly with finance stakeholders.

Experience in scenario modelling, what-if analysis , and PaPM design for financial simulations.

Good-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of Datasphere , SDI / SDA / SLT, or BODS.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboard development experience.

Exposure to financial accounting (FI) and controlling (CO) concepts.
