Lead Full Stack Developer (MEAN / MERN + AI)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Oliver Wyman team. This role will be based in Pune / Gurugram. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Associate Director - IT Product Development

The OWG Tech department is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to guide and actively contribute to our development teams.

This role will be approximately 60%-80% hands-on, leading developer groups focused on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions primarily using the MEAN / MERN stack. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both relational (SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, cloud experience (AWS preferred), and strong skills in CI / CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes. A solid understanding of OWASP security best practices and observability tools like Datadog is essential.

The Tech Lead will collaborate closely with architects, developers, and operational staff to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business goals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

We will count on you to :

• Lead and mentor developer groups, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
• Act as a hands-on contributor for approximately 80% of the time, driving development efforts in MEAN / MERN stack applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant software solutions using relational (SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Architect and implement cloud-based solutions, preferably on AWS, ensuring robust, scalable infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment automation.
• Enforce OWASP security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions using Datadog to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and operations to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, architectural reviews, and provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and technology stack.
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team.
