We are looking for a ‘Foresight Councilor’; she / he will be both a ‘connector’ and a member of the ‘orchestration’ group for our Foresight Council. The role will be part of our Product Team.
Role Profile : Foresight Councilor
Purpose of the Role
- Ensure the Foresight Council’s work is continuously fed with fresh signals, translated into actionable insights, and well-integrated into the company’s planning cycles.
- Serve as the ‘bridge’ between internal teams and an esteemed, cross-disciplinary council.
Core Responsibilities :
1.‘Orchestrate’ the Council
Manage meeting cadences (bi-weekly huddles, deep dives, workshops, retreats).Prepare agendas, pre-reads, and signal briefs; follow up on action items.Maintain the foresight knowledge hub (signals library, foresight map updates).2.Gather Signals; Sense Insights
Continuously scan for signals across tech, policy, culture, and markets.Tap external feeds and internal expertise (across departments) for contributions.Curate and synthesize into digestible briefs for council discussions.3.Integrate & Translate
Liaise within Product pods, R&D, Design, Marketing to capture customer needs.Translate foresight council outputs into relevant takeaways for internal teams.Ensure council insights inform stage-gates, strategy reviews, and roadmaps.4.Facilitate & Steward
Support workshops and scenario sessions; encourage open, respectful dialogue.Ensure all voices are heard, capture insights faithfully, and distill them into council outputs.Uphold a culture of foresight-as-learning (sharing lessons, documenting debriefs).Desired Profile :
First Principles Thinker – naturally questions assumptions, reasons from fundamentals.Quick to Action – bias for momentum; comfortable experimenting and iterating.Collaborative & Respectful – excellent listener, values diverse perspectives, builds trust with senior / external council members.Smart Synthesizer – able to distill complexity into clear, actionable insights.Organized Operator – strong at logistics, follow-through, and keeping cadence.Storyteller – comfortable shaping narratives (signals >implications >
prompts).
T-Shaped – depth in one domain (e.g. strategy, research, tech, design) but broad curiosityacross many.
Background & Experience :
Exposure to emerging technologies, trend analysis, futures thinking.Comfortable in super-dynamic, high-ambiguity, high-velocity environments.Everything else is up to how you impress us with your capabilities and potential.Success Measures :
