Job Description
As an Associate Cloud Architect in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the development of a Cloud Center of Excellence (COE) environment leveraging AWS technologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its security, scalability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices, combined with strong leadership and communication skills. This position will report to the Senior Director, IT but will work with DevOps and other Greenway Health departments to promote higher uptimes, better user experience, and develop future improvements to the overall cloud environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Manages AWS services, working with internal service groups as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements
- Designing, building, and deploying cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS)
- Providing guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization
- Develop scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities
- Provide technical support on AWS-related issues, monitor solutions, and implement appropriate strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks
- Works with Infrastructure and Product teams on issues related to AWS design and architecture and assists with Proof-of-Concept development and testing
- Works with peers within and beyond the Operations team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop & implement new solutions
- As needed, assist with the development of Operations white papers, proposals, and other documentation
- Keeping up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices
Education
BA / BS in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum Qualifications
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering / Architecture experience3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform3+ years of experience are necessary, including designing and implementing AWS solutionsExperience on cloud architecture patterns, design principles, and best practicesWorking experience (intermediate) of networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.)Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolutionExcellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skillsExcellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologiesExperience working with third party service providers such as vendors and internal support groupsAbility to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processesSkills / Knowledge
Experience working in an outsourced / managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities ()Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platformsFamiliarity with Atlassian (Gerrit, Confluence, Artifactory, Jenkins) and other DevOps toolsStrong Working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologiesAbility to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolutionExperience support fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologiesAbility to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff ()Strong understanding of broader technology context ()Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertiseWork Environment / Physical Demands
