Role : Snowflake Technical Lead

Experience : 8-10 yrs

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Snowflake Developer to join our dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake, data warehousing concepts, and ETL / ELT processes to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and database objects (tables, views, stages, file formats).
  • Build and manage ETL / ELT pipelines using Snowflake-native tools or third-party tools (e.g., dbt, Apache Airflow).
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to transform and load data.
  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake performance issues, optimize queries, and manage cost control strategies.
  • Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance within Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments and manage CI / CD pipelines.
  • Document data warehouse architecture, processes, and workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform (warehousing, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks).
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell, or similar).
  • Experience with ETL / ELT tools, Python, Airflow and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema).
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Preferred Skills :
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Experience with data lake technologies and integration (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
