We are seeking g an experienced  Full Stack Development Manager  to lead and mentor our growing team of developers  in  Chennai. This is a  hands-on leadership role  that blends technical expertise with people management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record  in  building and scaling software platforms—particularly mobile applications for iOS and Android—while guiding teams through full lifecycle development. The candidate will work closely with the  U.S.-based leadership team  and contribute to the development of  GIS-driven products .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of full stack developers  in  our Chennai office.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Drive the architecture and implementation of mobile applications (iOS & Android) alongside web-based platforms.
  • Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and stakeholders  in  the U.S. to align business goals with technical execution.
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient system performance through proactive troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Guide database design and API development to support scalable applications.
  • Champion agile practices, DevOps principles, and modern CI / CD pipelines.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly  in  GIS, cloud, and mobile development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree  in  Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of professional experience  in  full stack development, with at least 3+ years  in  a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing development teams, preferably  in  an offshore or distributed model.
  • Proven success  in  building, deploying, and maintaining mobile apps (iOS and Android).
  • Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or similar).
  • Strong expertise  in  back-end development (Django preferred) and API design.
  • Solid experience with databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Elastic Stack.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including working across time zones.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic team leadership.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS-based applications or cloud-based GIS solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and automated deployments.
  • UI / UX sensitivity and ability to guide design decisions.
  • Strong background  in  Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience scaling SaaS or enterprise platforms.

    The following criteria are mandatory requirements and we strongly encourage that you apply only if you meet all these criteria 1. Minimum 5 years of work experience 2. Proven capability to understand client’s business needs 3. At least one demonstrable stint of architecting a database from scratch 4. Multiple programming language capabilities a must. In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language 5. Willingness to wear multiple hats depending on our business needs will be a priority 6. At least 2 years hands-on experience in front-end development . 7. Knowledge of current tools, platforms and languages an absolute must 8.
