Linux System Administrator (Sysadmin)

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage and secure our Linux and Apache-based infrastructure for EPC Site Management Software. The ideal candidate will handle server setup, optimization, and ensure high availability of applications.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

Install, configure, and maintain Linux (Ubuntu / CentOS) and Apache servers.

Manage MySQL databases, backups, and replication.

Implement firewalls, SSL, and system hardening for production environments.

Monitor performance and uptime using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Grafana.

Automate deployments and support DevOps workflows.

Manage user access, permissions, and Git repositories.

Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and patch management.

Technical Skills :

Strong in Linux admin, Apache setup, and shell scripting.

Good understanding of networking, firewalls, and security policies.

Hands-on with MySQL / MariaDB performance tuning.

Familiar with PHP and Java deployment setups.

Bonus : experience with Docker, Jenkins, or Ansible.

Soft Skills :

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Collaborative approach to working with development teams.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliability-focused mindset.
