Job descriptionExperience in IT operations or infrastructure management, preferably in gaming or live-service platforms. Expertise with AWS cloud architecture (GameLift, EC2, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, etc.). Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB administration and data replication strategies. Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Excellent understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with backend systems for multiplayer games. Familiarity with Redis, API gateways, and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.). Working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring dashboards. Exposure to DevSecOps Experience managing live game environments with daily active users. Work on cutting-edge live-service infrastructure at scale. About the Role
We’re looking for a technically strong and proactive IT Operations Manager to lead the backend infrastructure and live operations for our online games. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the uptime, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems, ensuring a seamless experience for players worldwide.
You’ll work closely with backend engineers, DevOps, and live-ops teams to manage AWS GameLift, MongoDB clusters, CI / CD pipelines, and real-time monitoring systems that power our live service titles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the live game infrastructure hosted on AWS (GameLift, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Manage MongoDB database operations — performance tuning, replication, backup, and scaling.
- Monitor server performance, latency, and uptime to ensure optimal player experience.
- Collaborate with backend developers and DevOps to deploy updates with zero downtime.
- Implement robust incident response, disaster recovery, and rollback strategies.
- Manage CI / CD pipelines and automate deployment processes for faster iteration.
- Create and enforce IT policies for security, access management, and data protection.
- Liaise with live ops, analytics, and support teams for content rollouts, server scaling, and performance tuning.
- Supervise a small team of IT engineers and coordinate with them
- Manage optimization of resources.
