Roles and Responsibilities
Design, plan, and oversee the execution of all Directorate-led sports promotion activities and events.
Manage the University’s sports resources and actively contribute to the planning and development of sports infrastructure initiatives.
Manage budgets and allocate expenditure for all sports programs and events in consultation with the Director – Campus Life.
Oversee the upkeep, preventive maintenance, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) of all gym equipment, sports infrastructure, and facilities to ensure safety and optimal functionality.
Supervise coaches, assist in the recruitment process, and facilitate the orientation and training of coaching staff.
Ensure compliance with all University, AIU, UGC, and AICTE
Qualification and Skills :
Essential Qualifications and Competencies :
8+ years experience in sports development / coaching (experience in an educational system will be a bonus)
Educational and / or professional qualifications in Sports management, training or coaching
Experience in building and managing teams
Passion for sports promotion and sport development
Excellent communication & negotiation skills
Good project management and computer skills
Previous experience and track record in professional sports at an In-ternational or National level
Preferred Attributes :
Previous experience in developing and scaling student participation in sports
Knowledge of professional networks and partnerships in the sporting sector
Ability to connect with National & regional sports associations
