The Employer Lead will play a pivotal role in driving strategic partnerships and aligning WGO’s initiatives with the evolving job market. This role involves identifying emerging employment trends, understanding skill demands across regions and sectors, and building long-term collaborations with leading employers and industry bodies. The ultimate goal is to leverage these partnerships to train, place, and support students , ensuring strong employment outcomes and contributing to WGO’s mission.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Market Engagement
- Study the job market across regions to identify emerging trends, in-demand roles, and required skills.
- Develop a strategic roadmap to achieve WGO’s goals through the employer engagement channel.
Partnership Development
Establish strategic partnerships with top employers in WGO’s priority sectors :Retail, Healthcare, BFSI, ITES, Automotive, Beauty & Wellness, and Hospitality.Forge collaborations with Sector Skill Councils (e.G., NASSCOM, CII, RASCI, Healthcare SSC, BFSI Council).Form and lead an Industry Advisory Council in each sector to guide skill development initiatives and program design.Program Design & Implementation
Leverage employer and industry partnerships to :Curate, upgrade, digitize, and validate training content.Facilitate student training and placement.Design and implement pilot programs with partners to validate models and scale successful initiatives.Skills & Experience :
10–15 years of experience in business development, with 5–7 years in the staffing or talent solutions sector .Strong professional network across India with connections to key employers in target domains.Proven ability to initiate, build, and grow strategic accounts and partnerships.Awareness of current job market trends and emerging skill requirements.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strategic and innovative thinker with a problem-solving, hands-on approach .Familiarity with the EdTech and vocational training ecosystem .Willingness to travel across India and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
