Senior Manager - Database Management

Role Purpose

The role is responsible to provide technical expertise to the DB program by providing Oracle Database related advice, solutions, evaluate company practices and understand application dependencies and impacts as it related to creating the DB exercise plans.

Role Accountability

• Ensure high availability of Oracle Database Site, perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Interface with Application Owners / Vendors / External partners to create / validate Server Storage, Backup, Wintel and Virtualization requirements to meet the Oracle Database requirements
• Study and evaluate new technologies to strengthen the Oracle Database Setup for datacenter Servers, Storages & cloud technologies by coordinating with appropriate OEMs and considering business needs
• Provide L3 / L4 Support on Oracle Database related technologies related issues and conclude RCA
• Must have working knowledge of Windows, Linux, TCP / IP networking, SQL and Oracle databases,
• Act as liaison for auditing and regulatory examinations of the organization s Oracle Database plans and processes.
• Implement & maintain the ISO Standards / Processes in areas of various Datacenter services including facilities
• Assist and facilitate businesses for various Datacenter services audit to explore vulnerabilities and threats, if any and ensure to fill the gaps of the audit in Datacenter domain
• Ensure execution of patch deployment as per the schedule received from Infosec for Vulnerability identified in DB sites
