Position Overview :  The Azure Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining SQL Server and Oracle databases hosted on the Azure cloud platform. This role focuses on ensuring the performance, availability, and security of databases, while leveraging Azure cloud services for scalability and reliability. Looking for 3+ years of relevant experience.

Hands on experience on basic level of Stored Procedures to troubleshoot performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Azure Cloud Database Management :

Deploy, configure, and manage SQL Server and Oracle databases in Azure environments (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for Oracle, or virtual machines).

Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations to optimize performance.

Implement and manage automated backup and recovery solutions in Azure for SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Implement database security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and network security (NSG, VNet).

Automate routine database tasks such as backups, performance monitoring, and alerting using Azure tools, scripts, or PowerShell.

Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and outages.

Manage and optimize Azure resources related to databases, such as compute, storage, and networking components.

Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure using tools like Azure Database Migration Service.

Experience with SQL Server, advanced knowledge of T-SQL, and strong skills in performance tuning and high-availability configurations
