The IT Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by developing new client relationships and managing existing accounts. This role involves selling a wide range of software solutions and IT hardware products, creating strategic sales plans, and leading a team to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth across software and hardware portfolios.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, OEM partners, distributors, and system integrators.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and post-sales relationship management.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demos, and customized proposals.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution alignment with client needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM records.
- Recruit, train, and mentor junior sales executives to build a high-performing team.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (MBA preferred).5–10 years of proven experience in IT sales, with a focus on both software and hardware products.Strong understanding of enterprise IT solutions and IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, end-user devices, etc.).Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and partners.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
