Role Synopsis : Executive Director scale – Infrastructure and Expansion

Reporting to : Executive Director – Programs
Location : Bangalore – Lingarajapuram
Role Purpose
To lead strategic expansion across new geographies and strengthen existing units / premises through infrastructure development, vendor management, and compliance oversight. This role is pivotal in scaling reach and operational capacity while ensuring accessibility, sustainability, and alignment with organizational values.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Infrastructure Development & Expansion
- Leads planning and execution of new property development and expansion of existing facilities.
- Conducts feasibility studies including manpower availability, accessibility requirements, and operational readiness.
- Ensures all premises are designed to be inclusive and accessible for persons with disabilities.
2. Budget & Resource Management
Manages infrastructure budgets ranging from ₹15–20 Crores with accountability for cost control and value optimization.Oversees vendor contracts, especially in civil works, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance.Coordinates with finance and program teams to align infrastructure investments with strategic priorities.3. Compliance & Regulatory Approvals
Demonstrates working knowledge of government permissions and statutory requirements for new setups and expansions.Liaises with local authorities to secure necessary approvals and ensure regulatory adherence.Maintains documentation and audit readiness across all infrastructure projects.4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Builds and manages relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, and government bodies.Ensures transparent procurement processes and performance monitoring of vendors.Collaborates with internal teams to align infrastructure plans with programmatic needs.5. People Leadership & Communication
Leads cross-functional teams involved in infrastructure planning and execution.Demonstrates strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.Communicates effectively in Kannada and Hindi to engage with local stakeholders and communities.Preferred Profile
Proven experience in infrastructure development, preferably in multi-site expansion projects.Exposure to civil works, vendor negotiations, and site feasibility assessments.Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.Knowledge of statutory compliance and government approval processes.Multilingual fluency (Kannada and Hindi) is essential.Experience in the social sector is not mandatory but a commitment to APD’s mission is expected.Budgeted Salary is 25-30 Lacs .
