Generative Video and VFX Artist

Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient AI Creator / Generative Video Artist to

join our innovative content team. This role is at the intersection of cinematic storytelling, video

production, and cutting-edge generative Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will be a

visionary who can leverage AI tools (such as Midjourney, Freepik, RunwayML, Pika, Sora, etc.) to

produce high-quality, unique, and compelling video content, from short-form social media clips to

feature-length concepts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generative Content Production

● Prompt Engineering & Iteration: Design, write, and refine sophisticated text and image

prompts to achieve precise, high-fidelity visual and narrative results from generative AI

models.

● AI Tool Mastery: Operate, test, and integrate a diverse range of AI video, image, and audio

generation platforms to create assets and final video cuts.

● Conceptual Development: Translate traditional storyboards, scripts, and mood boards into AI-

compatible workflows, bridging the gap between human creative vision and machine

generation.

● Asset Management: Generate, organize, and catalog all AI-generated assets (images, video

clips, textures, audio) for efficient post-production use.

● Strong technical and creative knowledge of VFX and Rotoscopy, with proven experience in

blending AI-generated imagery with live-action content, ensuring visual continuity through

compositing, color matching, grain management, and finishing, alongside complex work such

as crowd simulations, background extensions, face cleanups, de-aging, war sequences, and

color grading.

2. Traditional Post-Production & Integration

● Editing & Compositing: Use standard non-linear editing (NLE) software (e.g., Adobe Premiere

Pro, DaVinci Resolve) to seamlessly blend AI-generated footage with live-action or traditional

VFX elements.

● Visual Enhancement: Perform color grading, correction, and audio mixing to ensure the final

output meets professional broadcast/cinematic quality standards.

● Motion Graphics & VFX: Integrate traditional motion graphics and visual effects to clean up,

stabilize, or enhance AI-generated sequences where necessary.

3. Research & Development

● Pioneer New Workflows: Constantly research, evaluate, and develop new production pipelines

based on the latest advancements in generative AI technology.

● Tool Benchmarking: Create internal reports and demos on the capabilities and limitations of

emerging AI tools, informing the company's future investment in technology.

● Ethical & Legal Compliance: Ensure all AI-generated work is compliant with copyright laws

and company policies regarding model usage and data provenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Technical Proficiency

● NLE Expertise: 3+ years of professional experience using NLE software (Adobe Premiere Pro

and/or DaVinci Resolve).

● AI Video Generation: Proven experience with current generative video platforms (e.g.,

RunwayML Gen-2, Pika Labs, Stable Diffusion/Deforum, or similar tools).

● AI Image Generation: Strong proficiency with AI image models (Midjourney, Firefly, Stable

Diffusion), specifically generating assets that are video-ready.

● VFX/Compositing (Preferred): Familiarity with compositing software like Adobe After Effects

or Nuke for masking, rotoscoping, and cleanup of AI artifacts.

● Computer Science/Scripting (A plus): Basic knowledge of Python or command-line interfaces

for local/open-source AI model use is highly advantageous.

2. Creative & Soft Skills

● Exceptional Visual Storyteller: A strong portfolio demonstrating a clear understanding of

cinematic composition, lighting, continuity, and narrative structure.

● Adaptability & Learning: Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate an ability to

quickly master new software and production methodologies.

● Detail-Oriented: Acute attention to visual quality, consistency, and the removal of common AI-

generation artifacts.

● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex

technical workflows to non-technical creative stakeholders.

Education and Experience

● Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Animation, Computer Science, or a related

field, OR equivalent professional experience.

● A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in video production, motion graphics, or

visual effects.

● A portfolio that specifically showcases generative AI video and filmmaking projects is

mandatory.
