Role : Senior Software Development Engineer - WAF & CDN Platform

Experience : 7yrs to 10yrs

Mode of Job : Fulltime

Work location : PAN India

Required Technical Skills :

Nginx & Lua :

Working knowledge - can write Lua scripts and understand nginx configuration basics

Programming Fundamentals :

Strong algorithms and data structures foundation

WAF Basics :

Understand what a WAF is and basic HTTP / HTTPS security concepts

Linux Systems :

Comfortable working in Linux environments, basic administration, and troubleshooting

Willingness to Learn and Grow :

Ready to deepen expertise in nginx, Lua, and edge computing

Security Standards :

Commitment to following GoDaddy CTO and security guidelines

Nice to Have : Regex :

Pattern writing and basic optimization

DNS Fundamentals :

Basic grasp of DNS resolution, record types, and anycast routing

Network Fundamentals :

Understanding CIDR ranges, IP validation, subnet calculations

Caching Concepts :

Familiarity with LRUcache or similar caching strategies

Load Balancing :

Understanding of load balancing algorithms and traffic distribution patterns

Infrastructure as Code :

Ansible basics for configuration management

CI / CD :

GitHub Actions experience

Cloud Platforms : AWS familiarity

Performance Optimization :

Mindset for writing efficient code

AI Development Tools :

Experience with Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools

Go :

Familiarity for cross-team collaboration

Rust :

Interest in Rust for future components

WAF Platforms :

General knowledge of WAF technologies
