We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge in finance, accounting, and ERP systems, coupled with hands-on experience in D365 configuration, implementation, and optimization. This role is integral to supporting business transformation initiatives, driving process efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration of technology with core business functions.
Key Responsibilities :
The Senior Functional Consultant will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical development team. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, mapping them to D365 functionalities, and designing effective, scalable solutions. This includes configuring D365 modules, testing functionalities, troubleshooting issues, and providing post-implementation support.
You will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and IT departments to understand pain points, recommend process improvements, and ensure that the D365 platform is optimized to meet evolving organizational needs. Your ability to translate complex business challenges into effective system configurations will play a crucial role in the success of multiple projects.
This role also involves end-to-end implementation management, from requirement gathering and gap analysis to deployment and user training. As a key subject matter expert, you will guide teams on best practices, compliance, and financial process alignment within D365.
Qualifications and Experience :
- The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Information Systems or Accounting, demonstrating a strong foundation in both technology and finance.
- A minimum of seven years of experience as a Functional Consultant is required, preferably across multiple organizations or client engagements, showcasing exposure to diverse business environments and industry use cases.
- Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, particularly in the Finance and Accounting modules.
- You should possess a proven track record of solving complex functional and configuration challenges, optimizing system performance, and successfully managing multiple D365 implementations.
- Microsoft certifications MB-300 and MB-310 (Dynamics 365 : Finance and Operations Functional Consultant Associate) are mandatory, reflecting your technical proficiency and commitment to continuous learning within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Technical and Functional Expertise :
You will bring a deep understanding of financial management, general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, budgeting, fixed assets, and cost accounting within the Dynamics 365 environment.In addition, a solid grasp of business process workflows, reporting tools, and data migration strategies will be essential.Experience in at least two D365 full-cycle implementations is required, encompassing design, configuration, testing, and go-live support.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are vital, as this role demands the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that align with both technical feasibility and business value.Ideal Candidate Profile :
